Data Engineer - Contract

MCS Group is looking for a Data Engineer for a 6 month contract in Belfast This Data Engineer will develop and maintain robust data pipelines and platforms that support critical data decisions for financial sector customers. This Contract Data Engineer will ultimately enable global financial institutions to harness the power of real-life data. The Role This Contract Data Engineer will design, implement, and optimise data pipelines to process real-world data used by some of the largest financial institutions globally. You will build and manage data architectures using Python, Spark, and SQL. You will work with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) to design and implement robust, secure, and efficient data solutions. The Contract Data Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and infrastructure issues. The Person You will have extensive commercial experience of Python, Spark and SQL in a Data Engineering environment. This contract also requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for data processing and storage. You will also have proven experience designing and implementing scalable ETL pipelines. This role will also require working with Informatica, however prior experience is desirable, not essential. Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices is also required.
