Application Database Administrator - PostgreSQL/Oracle DB/DB2

Position : Application Database Administrator (DBA) Experience : Minimum 7-10 Years of Total Experience Job Type : Full-Time Notice : 30 Days Job Locations : Bangalore/Hyderabad Shift : General(22 lpa) Qualification : Any Graduation / Post Graduation Responsibilities : - Design, create, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures. - Real-time database monitoring, analyse performance statistics and proactively identify issues related to query execution and advice solutions. - Perform regular database maintenance activities, including backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery plans. - Ensure the security and integrity of the database by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and monitoring mechanisms. - Implement version control for database schemas, stored procedures, database objects, document database versioning and change management processes. - Ensure smooth deployment and rollback of database changes using appropriate tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Liquibase, Flyway). - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and best practices. - Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of database systems with applications Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in computer science - 5-10 years of experience in database administration, with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, Oracle and DB2. - Past track records with PostgreSQL databases implementations in largescale transformation project including setting up and managing the environment. - Experience in database management tools, performance tuning, cybersecurity measures, scripting, query tuning, optimization and solve complex problems. - Certifications, AWS Associate Level and PostgreSQL Certifications. Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Application Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the development of tables, views, functions, and procedures, as well as performance tuning and database maintenance. Additionally, familiarity with versioning database changes and working closely with development teams is essential. Key Responsibilities : Database Development : - Design, create, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures. - Collaborate with application developers to ensure proper integration and efficient data flow between the database and applications. - Support complex queries and optimize database code for performance. Database Performance Tuning & Optimization : - Monitor database performance and proactively identify issues related to query execution, indexing, and resource utilization. - Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, including query tuning, index optimization, and partitioning. - Regularly analyze and optimize database objects to ensure high efficiency and low latency. Database Maintenance & Security : - Perform regular database maintenance activities, including backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery plans. - Ensure the security and integrity of the database by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and monitoring mechanisms. - Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions. Database Versioning & Change Management : - Implement version control for database schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects. - Work with development teams to maintain and document database versioning and change management processes. - Ensure smooth deployment and rollback of database changes using appropriate tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Liquibase, Flyway). Collaboration & Support : - Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of database systems with applications. - Provide support during application releases and deployments, including database migrations and updates. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
