Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading construction company in Manchester. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the financial management and contractual management of construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for tenders and contracts. Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Conduct risk, value management, and cost control. Provide advice on contractual claims. Prepare and submit financial reports to clients and stakeholders. Liaise with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficiency in cost estimating, budget management, and financial reporting. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
