Job Description: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods and materials as well as a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments Manage the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and award Monitor project costs and progress, ensuring budgets are met Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders Manage the valuation of variations and final accounts Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations Excellent numerical and analytical skills Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable Benefits: Competitive salary package Opportunities for professional development and career progression Flexible working arrangements Generous holiday allowance Pension scheme Health and wellness programs
