Project Manager

Elevation Recruitment are pleased to be working with a turnkey engineering business in West Yorkshire to help them recruit a Project Manager. About the Company: The company specialise in the design, build and installation of bespoke heavy-duty machinery and complete turnkey solutions for metalforming, material handling, waste management and other sectors. Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple projects from concept to completion. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements. This position requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in an engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, schedule, and cost objectives Oversee installation & commissioning of machinery on site Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing any issues proactively Team Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, production staff, and quality assurance, to deliver bespoke machinery and turnkey solutions. Ensure effective collaboration and resolve any cross-functional challenges. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them Implement corrective actions as required to ensure project success Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies Maintain thorough documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and project deliverables Key Requirements: Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline Proven experience as a Project Manager within heavy engineering, preferably with bespoke machinery or turnkey solutions Strong technical background in metalforming, material handling, or heavy-duty machinery is highly desirable Knolwedge of Hydraulic systems would be beneficial Experience working to NEC contract frameworks Track record within design, build and installation projects Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, or PMP certification is a plus) What's on Offer: Salary circa £50,000 34 holidays, Life Assurance 4x salary, Perkbox etc. A collaborative and supportive work environment.
