This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an experienced individual within the Social Media world to not only lead an existing team, but inspire the existing and future Social teams to strive towards even bigger successes. About the company This agency has really set its vision on the power Social Media has as part of a really strong marketing campaign. About the role This role is to head up the existing Social offering and therefore the entire Social team. As it stands, this currently compromises of Senior Social Media Managers, Social Media Managers and Executives. Not only that, but you will be a relied on and trusted face of the agency, with all communications and updates to be fed through yourself to the board and senior leadership team. Of course, the main part of this role will be to steer the overarching strategy and plan for the Social team. This will range from how to achieve success on a client by client basis but will also include forming a roadmap of how the Social team can positively contribute to the overall agency and group. Both Paid and Organic social are part of this team and they work very closely with influencers as part of that package too. Driving into 2025, this agency are hoping to really hone in on the power of search marketing, especially on social media platforms. This is where this agency differs from other typical Social agencies. You will be the dedicated individual who will roll out the commercials, strategy, plan and also be involved heavily in the activation of the work. A big part of the role is supporting your team and inspiring them to be able to reach the potential that they have. What makes this role different to any other Social lead / Head of / Social Director role is the passion and enthusiasm the entire agency has for its people and its business. This needs to be reflected in this appointment. About you You will have been in the Social Media industry for a considerable number of years and have a firm and vast understanding of both Paid and Organic strategies. As such, you will be dynamic and fluid when it comes to the ever-changing landscape of Social Media - keeping on top of trends, being ahead of the curve and a hold a deep understanding of each platform. You will be interested in the latest developments of social media and latest industry news. Your experience would have lead you to work on a number of high profile accounts and you have demonstrable experience working on a range of different Social techniques that has allowed you to gain trust in clients and organisations. Your success will not just have come from the work you have done for your clients but also the work you have done internally for the agencies you have been a part of - whether that be inspiring individuals and growing the Social team or being a valued, respected member of the agency. Most importantly, you are now at a stage in your career where you are looking to take on your biggest challenge and opportunity to date. You will be passionate about Social Media and the work you do.
