CAD Technician

JOB - CAD Technician LOCATION - Milton Keynes TERM - Permanent SALARY - £28,000 to £32,000 per annumPremier Engineering is working with a forward-thinking Engineering company based in Milton Keynes. They are looking to expand their team by hiring a CAD Technician to support their exciting range of projects.The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes: Proven experience as a CAD Technician within an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design principles. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD design. A relevant engineering or design qualification (HNC, HND, or equivalent). Experience with Acrylic and Timber would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines. The CAD Technician role will involve: Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for projects across various sectors. Working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs. Ensuring all drawings meet the required technical and safety standards. Making revisions to drawings based on feedback and updates from the engineering team. Assisting with the creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and project documentation. Supporting the design team with any additional tasks as required.
