Senior Software Developer | Bristol | £55,000 - £70,000 DOE | Python (Django) | Tech4Good Location: Hybrid - onsite in Bristol 2x per week Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 DOE benefits Tech Stack: Python (Django) CI/CD Testing React / Flutter experience a bonus Are you a Senior Software Developer who thrives in innovative, close-knit teams and is seeking a role with an industry-leading Tech4Good company? We are working with an organisation who are pioneering the development of technologies that will transform the way we understand human health. They are working in a competitive but growing space and are seeking a talented Software Developer to join their team. This role will support in the development of key products and applications, alongside working with a wider development team based from a Bristol office on a hybrid basis. This organisation are seeking someone who has an excellent understanding of Python, particularly web development using Django, alongside a desire to grow their technical skills across the company's wider tech stack, which includes frontend development and mobile. The Role: Create dynamic and high-performance web and mobile solutions utilising cutting-edge technologies. Architect, implement, and maintain reliable RESTful APIs and services. Develop secure, scalable back-end infrastructure that supports both web and mobile platforms. Handle relational databases to ensure effective data management and queries. Partner with design teams to create engaging, user-friendly interfaces. Enhance application performance for optimal speed and scalability. Requirements for Success: Minimum of 3 years experience using Python for web development Exceptional communication skills and willingness to work across teams Refined attention to detail and ability to write clean, efficient code A motivation to join the Tech4Good space and be part of an impactful business Ability to work in a dynamic environment, tackling learning new skills head on The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly skilled Python developer, with strong experience in web development using Django, who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments. They will bring a strong technical acumen but also demonstrate a hunger for learning new technologies across the full tech stack. The role will involve working with a tight-knit, cross-functional team, and so the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable interacting with colleagues from diverse disciplines. Beyond technical proficiency, the candidate should be adaptable and ready to tackle challenges head-on, embracing new opportunities for growth in both front-end and mobile development.
