Financial Accountant

Our client are a leading drinks brand who seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of accounting functions while supervising two junior finance assistants. Key Responsibilities Month-End Accounts: Preparation of month-end accounts, including posting journals and completing accurate balance sheet reconciliations. Ensuring all financial data is recorded and reported in line with company deadlines and standards. Cash Flow Forecasting: Regularly monitoring and forecasting cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity management. Providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the Financial Controller. Statutory Accounts: Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and other relevant regulations. Year-End Audit Support: Coordinating and supporting the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor queries. Team Supervision: Overseeing and mentoring two junior finance assistants, reviewing their work, and supporting their development. Key Requirements Qualified accountant, newly-qualified to 2 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations.
