SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: London Borough of Haringey Start Date: Immediate Contract: Long-term, Full-time (Monday to Friday) Pay Rate: £90-£105 p/day PAYE (with a pay rise after 12 weeks) About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to work on behalf of an Outstanding, three-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Haringey to recruit a committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant . This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for an individual passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCO. Follow support plans designed to enhance the pupil's learning and behaviour both within the classroom and during 1:1 sessions. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the specific needs of the pupil, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported in their learning journey. Promote the pupil's social and emotional development, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. About You: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant who: Has prior experience working with children with special educational needs , particularly in the area of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Is proactive, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential. Is confident in following support plans and working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCO.
