Job Description

Equifind have exclusively partnered with a Fund Services business to help find a Full Stack Engineer to join their growing technology team. The firm provides a wide variety of products and services to clients in the fund space and the technology team is on an exciting journey to revamp all the existing tech with the end goal of becoming a fully Fintech business. The business has grown significantly over recent years and as a result are investing in their IT function to enhance customer experience and ensure they remain a top tier product. This is an exciting time to join the business as the IT are in their growth and development stage. Key duties of this Full Stack Developer role include: You will be working on developing two different tools for the client - one internal and one for their clients Produce high-quality, testable, maintainable, reusable code within agreed timelines. Migrate and refactor existing functionality and develop the system based on current and future needs. Participate in scrum ceremonies and other technology-related meetings as necessary. Provide insightful recommendations for future architectural solutions and software cost management. Create and manage technical project documentation. Offer 2nd and 3rd level technical support for various system environments within agreed SLAs. Foster a culture of respect, continuous improvement, embracing change, and reliable execution. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure the whole team's output aligns with the company's coding standards and principles. Identify and resolve defects in the application stack. Integrate 3rd-party APIs. Work closely with all stakeholders to enhance collaboration Embrace change and continuously look to improve our company Take ownership of the tasks and responsibilities you are assigned. Be a real team player to collectively achieve success Required experience: Proficient experience working with Laravel. This is the main framework for this role. Strong experience with Laravel-associated technologies: Laravel Livewire, Laravel Jetstream, Laravel Blade, Laravel Sail, Filament, and Laravel Vapor. Confident front and back end user. A background in secure application development, ideally from regulated financial services or a fast-paced start-up. Extensive experience with Agile Scrum. Minimum of 6 years of experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and SQL Extensive knowledge of PHP 8.2 and proficiency in PostgreSQL. Experience in RESTful API design and development Strong abilities in writing maintainable and scalable code adhering to specific coding standards and styles. Nice to have experience: Experience with application middleware (API gateways, ESBs, etc) and relevant tools and vendors Direct experience with AWS infrastructure and services. Experience in building and maintaining CI pipelines. Cypress knowledge a plus. Extensive experience using Git and Jira. Experience using Tailwind. Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or AngularJS. Background in UI/UX design principles. They offer a competitive salary and benefits.
