Head of Architecture

Head of Architecture required for a commodities trading firm. Up to £170K bonus Hybrid Working in London You will be responsible for reviewing the current architecture, identifying areas of improvement, and proposing solutions to modernise the tech stack. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to challenge the status quo, and the foresight to design systems with long-term scalability in mind. Develop and own the architecture strategy for the trading function. Ensure the trading architecture is fit for the future, proposing enhancements and technical solutions for business challenges. Oversee the integration of trading systems, including ETRM platforms such as Endur, and ensure seamless connectivity across front, middle, and back-office functions. Experience Required: - Deep knowledge of commodities trading and familiarity with associated business processes across front, middle, and back offices. Experience working on large-scale, transformative programmes, ideally in a greenfield environment. Expertise in trading systems, particularly ETRM platforms such as Endur. Strong knowledge of general cloud architecture (Azure, AWS) and messaging patterns (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Service Bus).
