Analogue and Digital Electronic Design Engineer

A leading defence manufacturing business are currently looking for an Analogue and Digital Electronic Design Engineer to join their growing team. Working closely with wider electronic, software and systems engineering teams to ensure safety processes are continually reviewed and optimised. This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working.Key responsibilities will include: Engage in all aspects of board-level electronic design, including schematic capture, prototyping, and functional testing. Collaborate with other Electronic Engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of electronics within the product. Utilize circuit simulation, DFMEA, and other development techniques to ensure robust and reliable designs. Support the product life cycle from feasibility to production, including industrial validation and quality assurance. Contribute to research and continuous improvement efforts to enhance Electronic Engineering capabilities. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, addressing challenges and providing solutions. Apply knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products to support and improve designs. Ensure adherence to quality standards and industrial validation processes in all designs. The Successful candidate will have: Experience in electronic design, development, and delivery. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and navigate challenges. Knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products. Strong skills in schematic capture, prototyping, and functional testing. Familiarity with development techniques such as circuit simulation and DFMEA. Understanding of the full product life cycle, from feasibility through to production. Problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement activities. Eligibility for UK security clearance (British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship).
