Job Description Place Citywide Services Operative - Waste Services Murrayburn Depot Salary: £24,909 - £25,116 Hours: 36 per week 6:45am-2:45pm Monday to Friday You will undertake a range of services and activities, including: bin repairs and special uplifts, environmental inspection, and enforcement. You will act as a first point of contact with the local community providing advice ensuring the highest possible standards of customer care are maintained. The post holder • shall be required to demonstrate an ability to work with hand held technology • Will be able to work with the minimum of supervision and prioritise own workloads ensuring relevant standards and timescales are met • Will ensure that safe working practices are adhered to • Will ensure that resources allocated are maintained and used appropriately • Will be able to communicate with members of the public to advice on service related issues and provide feed-back to management As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.
