Job Description

Data Center Technician Quincy, WA Contract We are now hiring to expand our collaborative and dedicated team of Data Center Technicians in Quincy, WA. In this role, you will play a vital part in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing cutting-edge hardware infrastructure that powers the latest cloud computing server technologies for a Fortune Top 20 global technology company. This role is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the rapidly growing data center industry. Responsibilities: Build and deploy server racks, including racking and stacking servers, network switches, and power distribution units (PDUs). Install, label, and organize network and power cables (fiber optic and copper) according to industry standards. Deploy and maintain data center hardware, including servers, racks, and power units. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with cabling, servers, and network hardware. Support data center buildouts, expansions, and hardware decommissioning. Maintain accurate documentation of cabling layouts, hardware configurations, and inventory. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Collaborate closely with a team of enthusiastic and respectful professionals to complete projects on time. Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience, training, or education in IT or related fields preferred. Prior experience working in a data center or other critical work environment preferred. Familiarity with installing network cables, server racks, and data center hardware is a plus. Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards and best practices. Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routers, switches). Proficient with tools such as cable testers, crimpers, and punch down tools. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments. Additional Details: This is an ongoing contract that is extended based on good performance with the team. As we continue to grow the team, there will be opportunities for advancement into leadership roles. Schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-4:30PM, with two 15-min breaks and a 30-min lunch break. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, glasses, earplugs, and composite/steel toe boots. Must have reliable transportation, work onsite in Quincy, and pass a background check.
