Network Engineer

Network Engineer Harrisburg, PA (Must be able to attend critical on-site meetings as needed) Contract About the Role: We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our government client. This role focuses on network support to edge networks for assigned agencies . You would be responsible for providing technical support for planning, designing, maintaining, and integrating local and wide area network infrastructure. We are looking for a highly technical and eager individual with good communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Performs network management functions Assists the Edge Networking team in the planning and design of LAN/WAN network architecture Assists in the execution of planned deployments and upgrades and supports change management efforts within the edge networking group. Coordinates change management efforts with agency and other edge networking teams. Participates in Service Now trouble ticket resolution and reporting. Required Skills and Qualifications: Obtain and maintain CJIS clearances Operate telephones/cell phones Operate a PC and peripherals/ servers and network components Operate motor vehicles and maintain a valid PA driver’s license Excellent oral and written communications skills using the English language Read and comprehend technical literature Lift equipment up to 40 pounds Ability to assess issues/problems and make appropriate decisions for resolution Stay current with new and emerging network-related trends and technologies Provide outstanding customer service Nice to Have: CCNA or CCNP certification. Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
