Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer has come available with a Leading Automotive client based in Surrey. The contract is OUTSDE IR35 and the projects are looking to last 3-6 months, however this is likely to be extended too. The Company The company are a leading Automotive supply company that specialise in the electrification and renewable solutions for Automotive OEMs and manufacturers. They are a small and specialised company which has recently been established, but are creating a next-generation to Electric Vehicles. Mechanical Design Engineer The position involves joining a team of Mechanical Engineers at their innovation site. Due to the hands on nature of the work, my client requires someone to be onsite 3 days per week. Due to the demand of the work, my client needs someone who can hit the ground running with automotive projects, so having previous experience with electric vehicles, automotive or renewables is essential. Other skills required are: 5 years working in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ideally within the automotive/EV or equivalent industry) Expert working on Solidworks and Onshape Experience with full lifecycle product design, assemblies and testing Technical documentation – BOMs, DFMEA, component specifications and technical instructions In return, you shall receive a competitive hourly rate while expanding your knowledge within a fast-paced and successful environment. The interview process will consist of an online Mechanical test followed by a Teams call with the hiring manager and potential onsite ‘meet the team’ visit.
