Service Engineer - Mobile Plant

Connect Appointments are recruiting a Service Engineer (Mobile Plant) to join our clients Musselburgh based facility. What's on offer? A full-time temporary ongoing opportunity Monday to Friday - working day shift hours Rates of pay from 15 per hour - paid weekly Overtime possible for weekdays and weekends Working as a Service Engineer you will be undertaking the servicing and/or repairing (minor repairs) of the fleet of various mobile plants such as loading shovels, telescopic handlers, excavators. Other duties will include: General maintenance across the site, including regular servicing of on-site machinery Changing bearings, motors, and gearboxes on the plant; Carrying out repairs and other maintenance on vehicles, machines and affected components, including engines, brakes, steering Using a variety of specialist equipment and tools Liaising with site management with regard to required repairs and part ordering Liaising with suppliers, sourcing parts and comparing prices To be successful in this role, you will have proven mechanical experience and relevant skills - e.g. NVQs. Including the ability to work as a part of a team; able to understand written and verbal instructions; and have great attention to detail.
