Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanic/Mechanic to join and help grow our Musselburgh based client. What's on offer? Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 16:30 (overtime available) Pay from 12 per hour - paid weekly Plus a range of company benefits and rewards Your duties as an Apprentice Mechanic/Mechanic will include: Liaising and reporting to the workshop/site manager General maintenance across the site Complete daily job sheet Carrying out regular servicing of on-site machinery Changing bearings, motors, and gearboxes on the plant Carrying out repairs and other maintenance on vehicles, machines, and affected components Using a variety of specialist equipment and tools Liaising with site management with regard to required repairs and part ordering To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience: The ability to work on your own and as part of a team Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills Great attention to detail Basic computer skills Proven desirable experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role Please Note - Due to the location of our client's site, successful applicants must have a valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
