Job Description
The Role As a Reservoir Supervising Engineer, you will ensure compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 (amended by the Flood and Water Management Act 2010) and Company Standards. Your role involves providing advice and training on reservoir engineering, acting as an expert witness, and producing incident reports. You will represent UU as a subject matter expert and intelligent customer, advising on compliance, upgrades, maintenance, and operations of reservoirs. You will alert the Company to dam and reservoir issues, provide safety advice during emergencies, and contribute to major and minor projects. Your participation in studies, surveys, and risk assessments will enhance reservoir safety and management. Additionally, you will mentor emerging engineers, guiding their professional development. You will be responsible for managing a designated portfolio of UU reservoirs across various locations within the UU region. This role necessitates a willingness to travel and the ability to commute to sites in the North West. Initially, you may be required to attend a specific site or main location more frequently to acquaint yourself with the site, the team, and your responsibilities.
