Mechanical Fitter We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a leading engineering company renowned for its innovative vacuum furnace technology. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Assembly and Testing Assemble and test systems within a vacuum furnace, including: Water Systems: Manifolds, pump skids, and interconnections using materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and copper. (Brazing experience is advantageous.) Pneumatics: Install pneumatic lines for valves, devices, and air islands. Vacuum Systems: Install vacuum pipelines with bolted connections and components. Gas Systems: Install gas lines to devices using materials like stainless steel. Perform other mechanical assembly tasks requiring precision and high-quality workmanship. Fault Finding and Testing Diagnose and resolve mechanical system faults. Inspect component parts as required. Conduct vacuum and pressure tests on components and systems (training provided). On-Site Repairs and Installations Travel to customer sites to perform repairs and installations, as necessary. Desirable Skills and Qualifications: Experience with hydraulic circuitry. Basic welding ability. Forklift and MEWPs (3a & 3b) certifications. Confined space training. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
