Assistant Accountant

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by our client in the agricultural sector to source an Assistant Accountant on a full time, staff basis. This role will be based in Turriff where you will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of tasks within the group of businesses. This role comes with excellent career progression and development opportunities. To be considered, you will be currently working in a general accounting role. This role is suited to Accounts Assistants or Assistant Accountants who are looking for a fresh challenge in a successful, growing business. The Opportunity Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Assist in the preparation of final accounts to statutory level ready for audit Assist in the preparation of management information and costings Credit Control and sales ledger receipt allocation Cash Flow Forecasting Budgeting and Variance Analysis Detailed analysis work and VAT Returns Supervision of sales and purchase Ledger data entry Sales invoicing Month end reconciliations Process Credit Card Statements, Fuel Sheets, Inter-Company Recharges Background and Experience Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant Sage 200 experience (desirable) Robust problem-solving capabilities Strong communications skills to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner The ability to work under pressure using own initiative Next Steps If you are interested in taking the next step in your career or feel a change of environment or sector is your next path, this could be the ideal job opportunity for you To apply please send a full CV.
