Linux Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, resolving issues in a timely manner to maintain high availability. Manage system backups, patches, updates, and upgrades in alignment with best practices. Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible to improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and meet business requirements. Implement and maintain security protocols, firewall rules, and access controls to safeguard sensitive financial data. Manage cloud-based infrastructure and containerized environments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes). Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for data security and systems management. Generate system performance reports and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations. Stay updated on industry trends, Linux advancements, and security protocols to continuously enhance the companys infrastructure. Requirements: Proven experience as a Linux Engineer or System Administrator, preferably within the financial or asset management sector. Expertise with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.). Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting languages (Bash, Python). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). In-depth understanding of networking protocols, services, and security practices (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, etc.). Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus) and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to implement and maintain high-security standards for financial data systems.
