MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Understand and know how to read a produce technical drawings Drawing package knowledge Inventor and AutoCAD A proven track record in a similar environment Manage and schedule drawing projects to delivery dates Minimum of 2 years of drawing working as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Inventor National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Draughting equivalent advantageous. Exposure to manufacturing environment. Should be able to perform simple mechanical calculations. Computer literacy in MS Office packages Experience with ERP / BOM systems would be an advantage BEHAVIOURAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED Excellent planning and organizing skills are essential Ability to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings to Engineering standards Attention to detail Resourceful and efficient under pressure BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE Design and draw to specification General Arrangement and shop detail drawings Interact with sales on customer requirements Modify and revise designs to correct and reduce production problems Generate and check BOM to the drawing produced.
