Job Description : UI/API Automation Engineer (Robot Framework and Python) Role Overview : We are looking for a talented and experienced UI/API Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation testing using the Robot Framework and Python. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and executing automation scripts for web UI and APIs, as well as working with modern CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure the highest quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities : 1. Automation Testing : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing using the Robot Framework and Python. - Create reusable and modular test scripts to improve scalability and maintainability of automation suites. - Ensure comprehensive test coverage across various application layers. 2. Framework Development and Maintenance: - Build and enhance automation frameworks to support a robust and scalable testing process. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of features and maintain alignment with project goals. 3. CI/CD Integration: - Utilize Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins to manage source code, version control, and continuous integration pipelines. - Ensure automated tests run seamlessly within CI/CD pipelines to validate builds in real-time. 4. Test Execution and Reporting: - Execute automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects with clear steps to reproduce. - Provide detailed test execution reports, including coverage, failures, and root cause analysis. - Contribute to test plans and strategies to align with project timelines and objectives. 5. Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and operations teams. - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. - Communicate progress, challenges, and risk mitigation plans effectively to stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications : Experience : - Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using the Robot Framework and Python. - Strong expertise in UI and API automation testing. - Proven track record of working on automation projects, with clear project durations and contributions mentioned in the resume. Tools and Technologies : - Proficiency in Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins for version control, code collaboration, and CI/CD pipeline management. - Strong understanding of Agile testing methodologies and best practices. - Programming Skills: - Advanced knowledge of Python programming for developing and debugging automation scripts. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools for API testing such as Postman or equivalent frameworks. Soft Skills : - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
