History Teacher

Role Overview Equitas are seeking a confident and experienced History Teacher to join this exceptional school on a long-term cover basis. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality History lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels, inspiring students and fostering a passion for History. This part-time role requires availability to teach on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with planning and marking responsibilities included. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that motivates and challenges students. Assess, record, and report on students' progress in line with school policies. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering mutual respect and discipline. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the History curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development. Support the school’s ethos, vision, and values, maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching History. Effective communication and organizational skills.
