Role Responsibilities Lead and manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring audits are planned and completed efficiently to high-quality standards. Oversee the entire audit process, from planning and fieldwork to completion and reporting. Manage audit teams, providing training, support, and performance feedback. Review statutory accounts prepared by junior team members for SMEs, charities, and owner-managed businesses. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Provide technical expertise and advice to clients on complex accounting issues. Act as the primary contact for a diverse client portfolio, fostering strong relationships and understanding their needs. Offer strategic advice and support to help clients achieve their business objectives. Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, ensuring they meet their personal and professional development goals. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies and processes. Personal Requirements ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in audit and accounts. Strong technical expertise in audit methodologies and accounting standards (UK GAAP, IFRS). Proven experience managing audit assignments and a track record of delivering high-quality work to deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and lead a team. A proactive and adaptable mindset with strong organisational skills.
