Manufacturing Engineer

My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. If you are looking to take your skills and knowledge to the next level, and build a long term career where you can advance further, then this could be the position for you Responsibilities: Working as part of a small team on various projects at different stages of the life cycle Ensure that the manufacturing process on the different production areas operate as smoothly and efficiently as possible Allocate labour effort accordingly to react to business priorities Plan and co-ordinate manufacturing processes Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods Working with Manufacturing to support NPI builds through various development phases Support with NPI, working with design, production, tooling and quality Assist with the creations of BoMs, build processes & cost evaluations related to NPI The ability to implement change and implement new process and procedures Plan and implement new layouts, work flows and maximise efficiency Education / Experience required: HND/BSc in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification or experience Production Engineering / NPI experience Lean manufacturing experience Excellent manufacturing knowledge Proven ability to project manage and keep to project timescales
