Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Labour and Employment Law Attorney with a strong background in employment-related legal matters. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently and effectively handle a diverse range of labour law cases. Key Responsibilities: Represent employers in internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA proceedings, and Labour Court cases. Draft legal documents and pleadings independently without the need for counsel assistance. Provide expert legal advice and guidance on labour law and employment-related matters. Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation. Manage and resolve disputes related to workplace misconduct, employee grievances, and unfair labour practices. Minimum Requirements: Admission as an attorney in good standing with at least 3-5 years of post-admission experience in labour and employment law. Proven experience in handling internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA, and Labour Court matters. Strong drafting skills and the ability to prepare legal papers independently. In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws and related regulations. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
