Head of BI

Job Description: My client are looking for a Head of BI to lead an initial 6-month business reporting project. This project is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of an integrated BI tool and the core suite of business reports that are required for the daily running of the business. This role is Inside IR35 and requires weekly onsite presence in Manchester The right candidate will have a deep understanding of reporting infrastructure and be able to lead the infrastructure build element of the project, as well as an expert ability to scope, create and evolve retail business reporting. While in role you will also be responsible for leading their internal BI team of 2 and fostering a collaborative working environment. Requirements 8 years BI experience within the retail industry. Expert understanding of retail data across all business units. Proven experience in BI development using multiple visualisation tools and including data modelling as well as report creation. Advanced skills in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis. Expertise in DAX and resolving Power BI-related issues. Experience of working with large scale ERP systems. Understand ETL and other data warehouse principles.
