1:1 Teaching Assistant - Challenging Behaviour Support Location: Liverpool (L18) Daily Rate: £85 - £96 per day Are you a resilient, proactive, and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning? Based in a welcoming and inclusive school in the heart of Liverpool's L18 area, this role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference and skilled in supporting pupils to thrive. Top Qualities We're Looking For: Experience in schools supporting children with challenging behavior, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), or other Special Educational Needs (SEN). Exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy to build trust and rapport with pupils. A calm and consistent approach , even in high-pressure situations. Proactive problem-solving skills to adapt to a variety of needs and scenarios. Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals. Strategies You'll Use to Succeed: Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil, fostering emotional safety and confidence. Implementing effective behavior management techniques tailored to the child's needs. Using de-escalation strategies to diffuse challenging situations calmly and constructively. Encouraging positive behaviors through reward systems and consistent routines . Supporting the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development with personalized interventions. Your Role: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a child with challenging behavior, you'll: Provide tailored support to help the pupil engage positively with learning and the school environment. Implement strategies and interventions designed to promote emotional regulation and positive behavior. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to create and follow an individualized support plan . Offer encouragement and celebrate achievements to boost confidence and self-esteem. Help the pupil develop social skills and resilience, preparing them for future success. Why Join Us?
