Job Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with the project management team, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for civil engineering projects. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contracts and specifications. Analyse tenders and prepare detailed cost plans. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure the best prices. Assist in the preparation of contracts and subcontractor agreements. Monitor project progress and adjust financial forecasts as necessary. Ensure all documentation and records are kept up to date and compliant with company standards. Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, within the civil engineering sector. Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Degree in Quantity Surveying. Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management software.
