Maintenance Team Leader (Healthcare Manufacturing) Outline: This is fantastic opportunity for someone to work with an international company within the medical and healthcare market. The Role: This role is based at the Head Office near Skipton, North Yorkshire, and managing a team of 14 engineers across various Mechanical & Electrical maintenance duties. You will lead the team and be responsible for ensuring the equipment across the site operates efficiently and effectively, and in line with business demands. In this role you’ll ensure that maintenance activities, including scheduled maintenance, calibration and equipment issues, are prioritised and completed in a timely manner You’ll manage the day to day activity of the Maintenance team, including managing departmental performance, along with training and development of staff. Part of the role will be ensuring adequate cover is in place to meet business demands at busy periods. customer demand. At times you’ll also oversee outside contractors and issue ‘Permit to Work’ for these maintenance tasks, where required. You position will also require you to act as a mentor, develop technicians and working with them to aid in career and progression. As needed, you’ll raise requisitions for the purchase of items, engineering equipment or services, and you’ll be involved in monthly budget reviews. At all times you’ll ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with appropriate internal and external Health, Safety & Environmental requirements. Full initial training will be provided with ongoing career development. Package: Basic up to £55k Pension – 8% Life Assurance Holidays: 25 days plus 8 bank holiday (service days after each 5 years of service) Private Medical Insurance (up to family) Free onsite gym Other staff benefits The Ideal Person: This role is ideally suited for an existing Maintenance Team Leader, with experience of managing both Mechanical and Electrical engineers, who is looking to take the next step of their career You’ll need good proven experience or a HNC, HND or high level of qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, and the suitable work experience to go with it It’s essential that you have experience working within a manufacturing site environment and managing multi-skilled engineers. It’s vital you experience working in a regulated environment and have a strong regard for Health & Safety, at all times. You will need experience in the management of equipment project that have a big values, with the upgrade and new installation of new equipment ranging from £10k to £1m. It goes without saying, you will need strong communication skills both written and oral, and you need to have great interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of IT, Microsoft Office packages, and the use of reporting systems is vital.
