Social Worker Supporting Families Location: South East of England Salary: Competitive Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term client in the South East of England, seeking dedicated and skilled Social Workers to join their team. The Role In this role, youll work closely with families, respecting their rights and strengths while identifying their needs. Your primary responsibility will be to promote the welfare of children and support families to create safe and nurturing environments. Key Responsibilities: Assess and triage incoming contacts to determine if they meet the threshold for statutory intervention. Undertake comprehensive assessments of family strengths, risks, and needs, creating SMART plans to support positive change. Collaborate with partners to implement plans and monitor progress through child-in-need and core group meetings. Conduct child protection investigations and, where necessary, initiate legal proceedings to ensure childrens safety. Facilitate timely care planning for children who require alternative family placements, ensuring their health, education, and long-term stability. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to organisational policies and standards. Engage in reflective supervision and professional development to enhance practice and outcomes for children and families. What Youll Need: A professional social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and registration (or in the process of registering) with the relevant UK regulatory body. Significant experience in assessing and working directly with children and young people in a statutory setting. Strong knowledge of UK child care law, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication and partnership-working skills to build effective relationships with families, colleagues, and external partners. Competence in writing clear and concise assessments, plans, and reports. A valid DBS clearance and the ability to travel across the region to fulfil the roles requirements. Why Join Myn?
