Role: English Teacher Location: Bedford Start Date: January 2025 Pay: £150 - £250 per day Contract: Long Term We are currently working with a secondary school based around the Bedford area, supporting them recruit a full time English teacher to start on a long term basis from January 2025. The position is long term, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent contract. Key Responsibilities:• Engage and Inspire: Teach engaging and inspiring English lessons that spark curiosity and a love for literature, poetry, drama, and language.• Differentiated Instruction: Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners, supporting those who require additional help and challenging high-achievers.• Promote Critical Thinking: Encourage students to think critically, discuss ideas, and express their thoughts confidently in both written and verbal form.• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment that is conducive to learning and personal growth.• Assess and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and develop strategies to support each student’s academic journey.• Collaboration: Work closely with other English teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices to continually improve teaching quality.
