Drivers license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience Matric with pure maths 3 yr medical or electrical qualification (NQF6) with 3 year medical repair experience 7 years medical field repair experience As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing life-saving medical equipment in hospitals and clinics. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that critical devices remain operational and compliant with all regulatory standards. This role requires excellent technical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety. To undertake and manage Technical Services activities To always meet the quality and compliance requirements of the respective OEMs. To always and in all actions, keep the patients safety at heart. To complete work in a professional and timely manner. The Field Service Technician is expected to drive and maintain both internal and external customer relationships without compromising quality and compliance standards. To direct and manage day to day office duties including: the on-time completion of job cards, reporting of spares usage and to maintain the equipment and tools database. Qualifications & Experience Required National Diploma in Clinical Engineering or an equivalent three-year technical qualification. A minimum of 3 years of technical support experience, including experience in a field service role supporting hospitals or healthcare facilities. Electrical safety test setup and testing At least 3 years of hands-on experience with dialysis machines or similar multi-faceted medical devices. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and equipment management software. Valid drivers license, as travel is required Install and Maintain Medical Equipment: Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of medical devices, including dialysis machines and other renal care equipment. The In-Field service and repair of Dialysis machines, including installation, technical back up, fault finding, customer training and customer support. Support in-house Bench team and the service support of any other Capital equipment sold. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively to minimize downtime, ensuring high reliability of critical equipment Regulatory Compliance Adhere to medical device regulations (FDA, ISO, IEC 60601) and maintain detailed service records in compliance with legal and company standards. Customer Training and Support Provide training to healthcare staff on proper usage and care of medical devices and offer on-site technical support Documentation and Reporting Complete accurate service reports, detailing maintenance, repairs, and performance tests. Travel Regularly travel to customer sites within the region, ensuring prompt and professional service.
