About Us We are a well-established general contractor specializing in ground-up commercial, industrial, and retail construction projects across the Southeast United States. Our focus on high-quality work, safety, and exceptional project delivery has made us a trusted name in the industry. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team and oversee projects in multiple states throughout the region. Position Overview The Traveling Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires extensive travel throughout the Southeast, overseeing projects from start to finish, and coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Site Management: Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications. Leadership: Lead on-site teams, including subcontractors and labor crews, promoting collaboration and efficiency. Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets project requirements, plans, and specifications while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Schedule Coordination: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of key milestones. Client Communication: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, and inspectors, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues proactively, minimizing delays and ensuring smooth workflow. Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and necessary project documentation. Qualifications Experience: 7 years of experience in construction supervision, with a focus on ground-up commercial or industrial projects. Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors. Education: High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus. Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, blueprints, and scheduling software. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications: OSHA 30 certification required. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Additional safety or construction management certifications are a plus. Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Southeast United States. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
