Job Description
Job Title: Payroll Supervisor Location: Orange, CA, on-site (100%) Position Overview: We are seeking a highly technical Payroll Supervisor with deep expertise in ADP. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on ability to process payroll, ensuring accuracy and performing time punch audits. This role includes managing non-exempt, professional-level, and executive compensation. The Payroll Supervisor will also be proficient in managing biometrics and scan time systems and will be exposed to a high non-exempt workforce. Additionally, working closely with ADP to maximize contract terms and achieve the strongest ROI from all ADP products within the payroll environment, as well as responsible for reporting, mentorship of staff, and partnership throughout the organization with an emphasis on education and training. Key Responsibilities: Manage payroll operations using ADP systems. Implement and manage payroll modules and projects. Oversee go-live activities and self-service functionalities. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, achieving zero penalties. Collaborate with other departments to integrate payroll functions smoothly. Conduct time punch audits and manage biometrics and scan time systems. Provide strong communication and maintain a positive demeanor with internal and external clients. Be open to iterative feedback and process changes. Produce detailed reports and provide mentorship to staff. Emphasize education and training initiatives. Essential Areas of Contribution: Payroll Operations Management: Oversee the entire payroll process using ADP systems. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Project and Module Management: Implement and manage payroll modules and related projects. Coordinate go-live activities to ensure smooth transitions. Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate new systems or updates. Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular time punch audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage biometrics and scan time systems for precise timekeeping. Stay updated on payroll laws and implement necessary changes. Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed payroll reports for management review. Analyze payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll metrics. Education, Mentorship and Training: Provide continuous education to increase organizational knowledge and capabilities related to payroll. Mentor and provide guidance to payroll staff as needed. Develop and conduct training programs to enhance team skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Create SOP and process maps. ADP Optimization: Work closely with ADP to maximize contract terms. Ensure the strongest ROI from all ADP products within the payroll environment. Regularly review and optimize ADP usage for efficiency. Iterative Support and Supervision: Other duties that are needed to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications: Demonstrated hands-on experience in processing payroll and supervisory expertise. Extensive experience with ADP payroll systems. Proven track record in project management and module implementation. Hands-on ability to process payroll and conduct time punch audits. Experience with biometrics and scan time systems. Exposure to a high non-exempt workforce. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to adapt to feedback and implement process improvements. Experience managing professional-level and executive compensation. Work closely with ADP to maximize contract terms and achieve the strongest ROI from all ADP products within the payroll environment. Compensation: The projected annual salary is estimated at $105,000 - $110,000 per year, representing the low and high ends of the range. The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
