Management Accountant

Robert Half is excited to be partnering with a growing start-up to find a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, providing insightful month-end analysis, and ensuring robust financial controls. Location: Bristol Day Rate: £300 - £320pd (Via Umbrella) Duration: 3 - 6 Months Hybrid: 3 days on site Start: 20th January Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Head of Finance to prepare monthly financial statements, year-end accounts, and management reports. Develop and manage project profitability reporting, partnering with project management teams to optimize project performance. Prepare revenue and cost recognition journals and manage deferred & accrued income reconciliations. Analyse key performance indicators against budget expectations to assess project performance. Work closely with project management to ensure accurate invoicing in line with project milestones. Collaborate with Commercial and Project Management teams to validate sales forecasts for cash and business forecasting. Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls. Continuously improve finance systems, policies, and procedures for efficient financial management. Identify opportunities and risks to foster a "no surprise" culture within the team. Qualifications: Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting. Experience in project-based accounting and profitability analysis. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
