Bricklaying Lecturer Hourly Rate: £30-£40 Location: Carshalton Job Type: Full-Time Temporary We are seeking a dedicated Bricklaying Lecturer to join our Further Education college in Carshalton. This role involves teaching both Level 1 and Level 2 bricklaying courses. The position is available to start as soon as possible and offers an indefinite contract, providing stability and a rewarding career path in educational development. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and informative lessons in bricklaying to students at Level 1 and Level 2. Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards. Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment. Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in bricklaying and construction. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and college events. Support students in their learning and career aspirations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in bricklaying, either in an educational setting or within the industry. Qualified to teach at FE level (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent teaching qualification). Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of bricklaying and construction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
