Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst role is key to our client's Accounting & Finance department, based in Kidlington, requiring a results-driven individual with a knack for financial data analysis and strategic planning. Description Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimisation. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards. Profile A successful Financial Analyst should have: A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field. Proven working experience as a Financial Analyst in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles. Working knowledge of statistical analysis software packages. Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
