Day-to-day of the role: As an Autism Specialist Supply Teaching Assistant, you will: Support the delivery of educational programs tailored to children with autism. Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Work closely with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies that cater to individual student needs. Participate in the development and execution of individual education plans. Help manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and dynamic educational setting. Engage with students to foster their academic and social development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working with SEN children in a similar role or a role with transferable skills. A confident, proactive approach, with a desire to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs. Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents. A commitment to personal and professional development within the field of special education.
