Assembly Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday (days) Salary: Up to £37,000 We are seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead a dedicated team of assemblers in the manufacture of bespoke machinery. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for quality and continuous improvement in both production processes and team efficiency. The successful candidate will also be hands-on, engaging in machinery assembly tasks approximately 50% of the time, and able to motivate other team members to hit desired deadlines to contiguously improve output. Day-to-day of the role: Oversee the daily operations of the assembly team, ensuring all projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule. Actively participate in the assembly of bespoke machinery, demonstrating best practices and leading by example. Monitor and evaluate the quality of assembled products, implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Train and mentor assembly team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of projects. Manage resources effectively, including scheduling and the allocation of manpower and materials. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in machinery assembly. Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in machinery assembly. Excellent leadership and team management skills. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
