Technical Officer Commercial Team (Environmental Health) Grade 7, £36,830 to £40,219 pro-rata (inclusive of local weighting) depending on experience. Full Time. Permanent. Based in Hertford, with the option for home working up to 50% of working hours after completion of probationary period. We are looking for someone like you to join our team If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team on a wide range of cases. What will you be doing? - Deliver a wide range of regulatory and advisory activities covering food safety, occupational health and safety, infectious disease control, skin piercing registration, private water supply and animal licensing. - Respond to service requests and give appropriate advice. - Carry out a range of inspections, investigations, and sampling. - Take appropriate enforcement action where necessary. About you As an ideal candidate, you will have: - A relevant qualification or experience and a working knowledge of the legislation and regulations. - The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion. - Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines. - Excellent written skills, with the ability to write schedules of work, summarise accurately and convey complex information. - A working knowledge of Uniform Enterprise database is desirable.
