Operations Manager- Packhouse

Packhouse Operations Manager Staffordshire based To £50,000.00 per year dependant on experience plus bonuses This is an exciting time to join a reputable, quality driven and expanding operation. If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of a Packhouse operation and show your skills in people & budget management as well as ensuring the highest levels of health & safety, this is the perfect position. Duties : Based in both Packhouse & warehouse in order to manage production Identify areas for improvement and any risks Take responsibility for maintenance of the department machinery & equipment Advise on any technology may be required Recruit, train & develop new staff up to Line Leader roles Manage any performance issues Maintain technical documentation for compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate rotas in line with demand Ensure working hours are compliant with operational ethical code of practice and legal requirements Monitor Health & Safety Monitor production costs and provide data in order to assess and improve performance. Manage department procurement Manage 3rd party visits from customers and auditors Essential criteria At least 5 years' experience in this level of role in a fresh produce packing environment. Knowledge of BRC compliance in order to host a BRC or third-party auditor IOSH Level or similar accreditation Excellent communication in English and at least 1 Eastern European language Proven ability to manage and coach in a multi-cultural staff environment Good business and budget management ability This role is UK based and does NOT have sponsorship opportunity Our process is barrier free and we will ensure you are carefully considered for the role you have applied for.
