Job Description

Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer Location: Greater Manchester Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 41.25 per week Job Overview: A rewarding opportunity for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and first-line support for electrical systems in a dynamic and critical environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, COSHH, F-Gas, and Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work. Perform PPM, proactive maintenance, and reactive tasks within agreed SLAs. Provide first-line support for electrical and switchgear issues as required. Deliver out-of-hours callout support (minimum 1 in 4) and planned night work when required. Monitor contractor performance, ensure adherence to standards, and issue Permits to Work. Maintain equipment performance to meet specified criteria and company standards. Represent the company professionally to exceed customer expectations. Skills and Qualifications: City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent. NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems. Previous experience in PPM and reactive building services maintenance in critical environments. Familiarity with health and safety protocols, including Electrical Safe Systems of Work. Low Voltage Authorised Person certification. IPAF/PASMA and IOSH qualifications.
