Finance Operations Manager

TechYard Recruitment are currently hiring on behalf of a Google Media Consultancy for a Financial Operations Manager. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the billings and invoicing process across all our clients with a focus on GMP Reseller. This can start with licensing and moving right up to mapping out the process for global clients. This role is the layer between our in-market license holders and our invoicing teams. The role is at times client facing and that interaction is crucial to solving issues and maintaining a great working relationship with our clients. There are multiple strands in addition to the above which include inter-company finance management, as well as being the point of contact for any financial queries raised through our platform support system. The Google invoicing process is complex, so we’re looking for someone who is adept at navigating through it. This role is ideally suited to someone who likes a fast-paced environment, can learn quickly and is confident in pushing forward new ways of working both internally and externally. As well as the above, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to report and forecast revenue, cashflow and project tracking. The FinOps Manager is responsible for the upkeep of our project resourcing tool. You will coordinate with teams to ensure all information is up to date and accurate. This platform is the central space which feeds into all internal reporting. The FinOps Manager works with our external finance team to report on accrued and deferred income to ensure accurate accounting. Key Responsibilities: Understand the current process and operational setup and implement improvements to process and workflow. Build out systems and processes to support current and new clients. Act as the liaison between the client and the invoicing unit. Form great relationships both internally and externally to ensure great account management. Be responsible for the collection of accurate data to support GMP license migrations and the internal onboarding team. Ensure invoices and purchase orders are raised accurately and one time, as and when required. Work with the internal training function to ensure that all new processes are rolled out to clients successfully. Track the revenue and finance mapping in a clear way that can be reported to management. Manage the day to day running of all projects associated with the role. Be the face and the voice for all things billing and finance on the programme. Provide financial reporting relating to revenue and project tracking / forecasting. Reconcile accrued and deferred income. Maintain resource tool updates. Required Experience & Skills: • 3 years of Fintech / FinOps / Media Finance. Knowledge of Google Marketing Platform License Reseller programme financial operations is desirable. Managing the delivery of Finance and Ops tasks across clients, managing the day-to- day tasks, while pushing forward priority projects to ensure seamless billing. Mapping of finances across business units. Experience across accounting processes (O2C, P2P, R2R) Experience in working in a fast-growing organisation. Experience in designing and implementing financial processes. Experience in working closely with internal/external stakeholders to improve systems and processes. Excellent quantitative skills. Analytic problem solver. Great eye for detail. Advanced knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.
