Job Description
Our client is a successful and well-established Food Manufacturer and a market leader based in Fife (commutable from Edinburgh). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nightshift Hygiene Manager to join our client's high-performing team. Reporting to the Site Hygiene Manager, you will oversee the hygiene operations across two nightshift teams, ensure adherence to Health and safety and Food Safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in our hygiene processes. This is a critical role where your management skills will be crucial in motivating and managing the staff to deliver exceptional results. The responsibilities will include: Oversee and manage the nightshift hygiene operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, hygiene standards, and all relevant IOS (International Organization for Standardization) requirements. Implement and maintain robust health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members. Drive continuous improvement in hygiene processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements, and implementing best practices. Develop and maintain effective cleaning and sanitation schedules, ensuring all areas meet the highest hygiene standards. Lead and motivate the nightshift hygiene team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maximize their potential and ensure exceptional results. Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor hygiene standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations and compliance with hygiene protocols. Stay updated on industry trends, health and safety regulations, and best practices in hygiene management to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance. Prepare reports on hygiene performance, including KPI’s for management review. To be considered for the role you MUST be able to demonstrate that you have: Proven experience in hygiene management, preferably in a nightshift setting, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and IOS standards. Solid knowledge of hygiene practices, cleaning procedures, and cleaning protocols in a manufacturing or food processing environment. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve exceptional results. Strong understanding of health and safety principles and the ability to implement and enforce safety protocols effectively. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate hygiene standards to staff. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in using relevant software applications for documentation and reporting. Relevant certifications in health and safety and hygiene management are desirable.
