Senior Middle Office Analyst (Physical Commodities)

X4 Technology are offering the opportunity for a Senior Middle Office Analyst to come and work alongside a fast growing Energy & Commodity trading company who are embarking on a exciting journey and going through a really great period of growth. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Middle Office Analyst: Lead daily P&L reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability across trading books. Serve as a key point of contact for trader queries, resolving issues related to P&L impacts and ensuring clarity on business practices. Analyze the implications of deal changes, collaborating with various departments to maintain alignment. Validate deal entries for physical commodities (LNG, Gas, Coal) and derivatives to ensure valuation accuracy. Maintain and update price curves and associated data. Manage relationships with clearing brokers, banks, and other stakeholders. Monitor trading activity to identify and escalate unusual patterns. Provide support for market and credit risk monitoring, as well as month-end financial closing processes. Key Requirements of the Senior Middle Office Analyst: Experience: 4–8 years in energy or commodity trading, with exposure to middle office functions. A strong understanding of PnL from the physical energy / commodities space. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, even under pressure. Commercial awareness and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in managing large data sets and presenting actionable insights. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement (required in office 3 times a week, flexible on what days) with a salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 DOE.
