We take groups of disabled travellers to destinations around the world, supported by qualified carers. As no off-the-shelf software can cater to the combined complexity of our Travel Care offering, all of our holiday and booking management systems are custom built from the ground up, providing tools that are unparalleled within the travel industry. We are now building out our in-house tech team, to accelerate the development of our custom tech. Day-to-day Working directly with the CTO you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining our internal systems to meet the ever-growing needs of the business Integrate systems across the business to streamline processes for the wider team. Debugging existing systems and documenting new ones. Hybrid, remote first working Typical schedule will be minimum of once a fortnight in our Birmingham head office, During onboarding in person time will likely be once per week, There may be occasional travel to satellite offices (Cheltenham, London), Required Skills 4 years’ experience with both PHP (using MVC-based frameworks and OOP) and React, Angular, Vue or similar modern Javascript frameworks. Demonstrable experience working with REST APIs. A thorough understanding of MySQL and designing robust relational databases. Strong working knowledge of modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A Git portfolio or other evidence of personal or professional React and/or PHP-based projects that you have been lead developer on. Ability to write clear documentation of systems for end-users. Familiar with Git and version control best practices. University degree educated with 2:1 or higher, ideally in a numerical subject Desirable Skills Experience using the Laravel and/or Silverstripe PHP frameworks. Experience developing React apps using Redux and RTK Query. Experience using the AWS console and/or CLI. Knowledge of GraphQL APIs. E-commerce experience.
